Farmica has a vision to revolutionize the green market of Southern Europe and take advantage of a new market trend: consumers buying high quality organic produce directly from producers. The largest cut of profits from agricultural product trade doesn’t go to traders themselves; they only earn an average 20% of the final retail price. The Farmica team wants to put producers and consumers face-to-face through a simple and functional web app that will make both sides of the marketplace happy and help them reap economic gains from quality produce.
At the initial stage of their business development, Farmica lacked advanced insights to their target market’s preferences and what the company’s priorities needed to be. The Farmica team also lacked the technical expertise necessary to develop mobile and web applications that would help them move forward with their impressive vision.
Starting from the moment they approached us, Farmica aimed to launch in 8 months. This was their first version of a product in the market, so before we started developing their mobile and web applications, we had to understand their users.
This process helped us immensely in the creation of the feature roadmap, initial wireframes, and designs. Next, our team developed Farmica’s web application and both iOS and Android applications that connected both sides of the marketplace in a simple and effective way.
Currently, the Farmica apps are undergoing systematic and detailed Quality Assurance process, and we aim to launch it by their deadline of October 2017.
